Created in 2010 in memory of Dora Kennedy of College Park, an adjunct faculty member and renowned foreign language educator, this scholarship fund provides financial support for candidates in training at the university's College of Education, preparing them to serve as outstanding foreign language teachers in K-12 schools. The Dora Kennedy French Immersion School in Greenbelt, Maryland, is also named in her honor.
