The Ron Ohringer Student Manager Endowed Scholarship was established as a merit-based scholarship for undergraduate students who are student team managers in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. Ron Ohringer '85 was a student at UMD and served as the football team's student manager. He was their head manager for his final three years as a student. He retired in June 2023 after nearly 40 years of service to Maryland Athletics.
